Job Summary
Calibration Technician responsible for quality calibrations across multiple disciplines (temperature, pressure, flow, vibration, mass, electrical/electronics, time, frequency, RF, torque, force, and dimension). Prepare for on-sites as directed by Lead Tech or Service Manager, ensure calibration stickers, PMD work orders, worksheets, and related materials are ready, maintain tools and equipment in calibration, produce original data worksheets and certificates of calibration for final inspection, perform on-site and in-house quality inspections, and adhere to corporate quality standards. Maintain timely completion of certificates (within 48 hours of job completion), uphold safety and customer service standards, and participate in additional duties as assigned. Requires a solid understanding of precision measurement equipment, calibration program management, gage management software, and strong communication and interpersonal skills; associates degree in a technical discipline preferred and valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in a technical discipline preferred (Instrumentation, Industrial, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering)
- Strong understanding of a wide variety of precision measurement equipment, calibration program management, and Measurement Principles
- Proficiency in gage management software
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong understanding of computer system peripherals and communication configurations
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivation, initiative, honesty, integrity, and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience with certificates of calibration and on-site calibration
- Ability to maintain safety and customer service mindset
- Ability to review equipment lists, procedures, specifications, and select proper standards
- Ability to perform clerical work associated with calibration activities
