Job Summary
Calibration Technician A calibrates inspection, measurement, and test equipment (IM&TE) across multiple disciplines (Acoustical, Chemical, Dimensional, Electrical -- DC/Low Frequency, RF/Microwave, Fluid, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamics, Time & Frequency) to ensure measurement accuracy. Performs data collection, identifies out-of-tolerance conditions and applies corrective actions, prepares calibration reports and certificates, and interacts with technicians, account managers, and customers. Role involves routine tasks under detailed instructions, laboratory/manufacturing work in SIMCO environments, and potential travel to domestic and possibly international locations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Basic ability to troubleshoot repair, align and optimize precision equipment
- General math and algebra
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Knowledge of MS Office applications
- Self-starter with innovation, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within multiple departments
- No previous calibration training required
