Calibration Field Tech

Job Summary
Perform routine calibrations, installations, and service on machinery both in the field and at the office. Analyze and interpret data, enter information into the database, and update certifications to complete calibration procedures. Interact with customers to provide start-up, training, and support on machine control and testing software via in-person or phone. Operate machines and use tools including forklifts, overhead cranes, multi-meters, and basic hand tools. Ensure all documentation is traceable to NIST or ASTM-E4 standards. Travel extensively approximately 50-75% of the time, including domestic and international trips, working extended days, evenings, and weekends when required.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 years' experience in a technical field
- Electrical background either hands on or from an accredited school
- Mechanical aptitude for machinery and willingness to learn
- Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, and drawings
- Knowledge of voltage and current and ability to use a multi-meter
- Ability to use rigging and lift equipment such as overhead cranes, slings, shackles, and chains
- Organization and multi-tasking
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems
- Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds without assistance
- Must have passport, if no passport willingness to obtain within 2 months of employment
- Ability to travel extensively (approx. 50% of the time), both domestic and internationally, and work extended days, including evenings and weekends when required
Desired Qualifications
- An interest in machinery and willingness to learn
- Understanding and knowledge of computers and willingness to learn PLC programing
- Electrical experience needed, hands on or has class experience
- Hydraulic and plumbing experience a plus
- Knowledge of force and torque a plus
