Calibration Engineer

Job Summary
Plan, conduct, and maintain calibration of equipment and associated documentation in support of customer and external requirements. Ensure thorough familiarity with calibration methods, techniques, and tools for electrical and mechanical equipment, including future Spirit equipment. Carry out all work in accordance with manufacturer instructions and internal procedures, maintaining proficiency in using calibration aids. Properly record work on calibration records and maintain their topicality through annual reviews. Liaise with internal and external customers regarding equipment enquiries and support site calibration visits. Perform ancillary tasks such as sample preparation, conditioning, and testing for paint, cure, cross-cut, and adhesion requirements. Support current and future composite clean room sampling, testing, and reporting in line with industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding of the current specifications / British Standards involving calibration tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer and/or internal of the gauges being calibrated
- Experience in using specialised equipment
- Experience in applying tools and techniques (e.g. tool use, use of software packages)
- A basic level of computer literacy
- Good communication skills
- The successful candidate will ideally have served a recognised technical apprenticeship in a Mechanical and/or Electrical discipline
