Calibration and Diagnostics Engineer

Job Summary
Perform vehicle diagnostics and support development testing activities, including flashing calibrations and DCMs using ETAS INCA or equivalent tools. Investigate and resolve complex technical issues using structured problem-solving methods to support powertrain validation and ensure alignment with development targets. This mid-level role requires a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, three to six years of automotive development experience, and proficiency with calibration flashing tools. Located in Coventry with a hybrid schedule, the position offers security clearance opportunities and supports vehicle development programmes within the automotive engineering sector.
Required Qualifications
- Proven background in an automotive development environment with diagnostics experience
- Proficiency with ETAS INCA (or equivalent) and calibration flashing tools
- Strong experience in issue resolution and structured problem solving
- Customer-focused mindset with strong communication skills
- Full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience
- Experience working within vehicle or powertrain development environments
- Familiarity with automotive engineering processes and standards
- Clearable security clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Understanding of powertrain certification and test environments
- Experience with powertrain homologation requirements
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (e.g. Python, MATLAB, Concerto)
- Knowledge of FMEA, FMA, Six Sigma or similar methodologies
