Job Summary
Facilitate CBI Life Skills and Family Relations classes using evidence-based, standardized curricula while conducting individual sessions to develop participant action plans. Evaluate and document student progress, reinforce group norms, and record service delivery in ARMS. Collaborate with CDCR headquarters, local institutions, and contracted staff to support prison and re-entry programs. Maintain confidentiality and operate office equipment proficiently within a community-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Cal MHSA Certified Peer Navigator
- Excellent organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to foster teamwork and cohesiveness
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to operate general office equipment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to frequently sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to frequently talk, hear, see, and use repetitive motions
- Ability to thrive in an environment that requires one to adapt to changing circumstances
- Ability to professionally work under pressure with difficult or temperamental students & faculty
- Ability to handle mental and emotional stress related to the position
- Ability to frequently communicate verbally and in written form
- Ability to frequently use all types of vision, such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception, to complete daily tasks
- Ability to wear comfortable and office appropriate clothes
