Job Summary
Cal AIM Authorization Coordinator responsible for managing the intake of new members, processing billing and authorizations, and supporting various administrative functions for the CalAim departments. Duties include tracking referrals and authorization statuses, performing eligibility screening, submitting inital authorization and reauthorizations via Managed Care Provider portals, creating patient charts and uploading documentation into the EMR, coordinating follow-up activities for Case Managers, and generating/calibrating CalAim MCP reports while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. Requires collaboration with multiple departments, attention to deadlines, strong communication, and proficient use of Microsoft Word/Excel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred
- 2+ years of Administration experience
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience with electronic healthcare systems
- Experience with developing reports
- Strong organizational and follow up skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage others
Desired Qualifications
