Job Summary
Greet guests within 10 feet, resolve issues to ensure smooth shopping experiences, and end every transaction with a sincere thank you. Execute Food & Beverage processes including replenishment, inventory accuracy, and rotating merchandise while producing, icing, and decorating cakes and cupcakes to seasonal specifications. Engage guests to capture customized orders, use sampling and suggestive selling to drive sales, and monitor perishable inventory to minimize waste. Uphold food safety requirements, process damaged or recalled items, and support guest services such as back-up cashier and drive-up operations. Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays while maintaining a welcoming attitude and communicating via handheld scanners.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
- Interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
- Climb up and down ladders if needed
- Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
- Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
- Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
- Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous cake decorating experience preferred, but not required
- Artistic skills to design and execute customized desserts
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
- Work both independently and with a team
- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
