Job Summary
Greet guests, announce specials on the PA system, and perform bakery clerk functions as needed. Prepare products for sale by icing, decorating, pricing, packaging, and labeling cakes while maintaining strict sanitation standards in the cooler, freezer, prep area, and sales zones. Rotate and scrape down icing buckets, organize the freezer, and write custom messages on cakes using the color chart and airbrush. Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the cake section while keeping supply areas neat and tidy. Assist in product receiving and storage, and communicate guest requests or temperature breakdowns to management.
Required Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality
- Ability to work well with others
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally
- Ability to read and understand information and direction
- Effective communication, guest service and selling skills
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time
