Job Summary
Wait on customers at the bakery case, take cake orders utilizing proper phone and customer etiquette, and prioritize special orders for timely pick-up. Maintain creative decorating procedures, clean the prep area and tools, and ensure proper rotation in freezers and cold cases. Cooperate with other departments for store-wide promotions and assist assigned positions as needed. Comply fully with safety policies, the Customer Service Pledge, and the Dress Code while presenting a professional appearance at all times. This role requires a minimum age of 18 and one year of bakery experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- One year Bakery Apprentice (or related field) experience
- Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages
- Must be able to lift, bend, and twist with up to 50 pounds
- Ability to hear, speak, and understand the spoken word
- Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
- Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell
- While performing duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, and utilize full hand and digit functions, reach with hands and arms while manipulating objects
