Job Summary
Cake Decorator/Crew Member at Dairy Queen seeks an energetic, customer-focused individual to prepare and decorate cakes and support fast-paced restaurant operations. Responsibilities include decorating cakes to customer specifications, operating the cake production area, stocking and cleaning, maintaining PRIDE standards, and delivering excellent guest service. The role involves handling cake projects, serving customers, and collaborating with team members to ensure quality, value, and a pleasant dining experience.
Required Qualifications
- Prepare and decorate cakes according to assigned specifications including cakes for special orders and walk-in customers
- Operate cake production area in accordance with established PRIDE standards, policies and procedures
- Assist in maintaining guest satisfaction through adherence to standards for quality, value, service and cleanliness
- Communicate significant issues with management staff
- Function: Assemble and prepare soft serve and Blizzard cakes and decorate with icing, gel, drawings, decorating kits, air brush, edible images and lettering
- Properly and safely operate and maintain cake and soft serve equipment
- Maintain adequate inventory of decorated cakes including back-up cakes during holidays and peak occasions
- Keep display freezer stocked with a variety of cakes
- Conduct sampling and actively sell products
- Take and fill customer cake orders professionally and timely
- Work as a team member to assure quality, service, cleanliness and value
- Keep cake production area clean and sanitary throughout shift
- Wash counters, tables, restrooms, and manage trash
- Follow health and safety standards
- Inform supervisor promptly of problems or unusual matters
