Job Summary
Prepare a variety of cakes, desserts, and pastries consistently at a high rate of speed by mixing creams, sauces, fillings, and icings while applying finishing work. Stock the bakery case with fresh, high-quality products and take guest orders by phone and in-person. Assist bakers and bakery clerks as needed while maintaining a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment. Provide world-class service to guests. You must be at least 18 years old, able to read and write in English, and possess an eye for color and texture with experience in a retail environment producing large volumes of cakes.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to read and write in English
- An eye for color, texture and design with an attention to detail
- Experience in a retail environment producing a large number of cakes/pastries
- Ability to work at a fast pace while staying focused on completing individual tasks
- Basic understanding of the English language, which includes the ability to communicate, read and write basic instructions, schedules and signage
- A positive attitude is essential!
