Convey workers, materials, and explosives underground while assisting with routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to reduce downtime. Perform mine shaft inspections and undertake necessary repairs, including timber and rock work. Use strong planning skills to minimize lost time during transport operations. Work 12-hour shifts on a 7 on, 7 off rotation in an underground environment near Matachewan, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of underground experience as a cagetender or deckman
- Accreditation in underground common core modules
