Job Summary
Operate machinery to dump and empty cages while ensuring birds are properly loaded onto conveyor belts and coops are returned to the forklift driver. Catch stray birds and rotate through various departmental positions to perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to Tyson policies, wearing required safety gear including reflective outer wear, hearing protection, and gloves. Perform physical tasks involving lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 75 lbs, standing on hard surfaces for up to 10 hours, and walking, climbing, bending, and stooping in a dusty, noisy environment with varying temperatures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to stand on hard surface for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, and stoop.
- Repetitive gripping, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Must wear reflective outer wear, hearing protection, safety glasses, and gloved.
- Must be able to operate dump system.
- Ability to catch stray birds.
- Ensure the coops are returned properly to the forklift driver.
