Job Summary

The Cage Director oversees Cage Operations, directing the Cage Manager and coordinating with senior management to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient cash-handling and currency-control practices. Responsibilities include training and evaluating Cage staff, safeguarding assets and cash, ensuring BSA/Title 31 compliance, managing budgets, developing long-range goals, implementing policies and procedures, collaborating with Compliance on regulatory matters, driving guest service excellence, and reporting to the General Manager and CFO on issues of concern. The role requires leadership across departments, adherence to gaming regulations, risk mitigation, and maintaining high standards of internal controls and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field preferred
  • Ten (10) years of Cage Management experience
  • Ability to work with large sums of currency in an accurate and secure manner
  • Ability to design, implement, monitor, and audit documentation of all Cage transactions and changes to Cage accountability
  • Knowledge of Casino operations
  • Management experience including personnel practices and employment laws, budgeting, and fiscal management practices
  • Knowledgeable in FinCEN/BSA/Title 31 and Internal Control requirements
  • Knowledge of and adheres strictly to all Gaming Regulations
  • Understanding of fraud prevention and credit scams
  • Knowledge of paperwork flow regarding credits and debits
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, guests, peers, and management
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities/projects
  • Reliable, conscientious, with good time management skills
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and mentor a team
  • Interpersonal skills for dealing with all business contacts
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must submit to and pass drug/alcohol screening
  • Must submit to and pass Oregon State background investigation
  • Proven gaming license eligibility preferred
