Job Summary
Cage Cashier at Saracen Casino Resort responsible for handling cash transactions, selling/balancing gaming chips and tickets, currency exchanges, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and policies. Requires strong math and customer service skills, English proficiency, and the ability to work a 24-hour schedule. Must meet age, education, and licensing requirements and pass a background check and drug screening; must present a professional appearance and interact effectively with guests and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English; must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide and to perform these operations using units of US currency
- Must be able to obtain valid gaming license
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required
- Employment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance
- Must possess excellent communication skills
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
Desired Qualifications
- Prior cash handling or casino cage experience (preferred)
- Strong guest service orientation
- Ability to perform cash handling with accuracy in a fast-paced environment
