Job Summary
Process financial transactions for patrons and internal departments, including cashing checks, issuing and redeeming markers, and conducting currency exchanges. Safeguard assigned banks by counting, verifying, and balancing funds at shift start and end, while documenting variances and obtaining supervisory authorization for amounts exceeding $50. Operate jet sorters, currency scanners, and other equipment to count, strap, and exchange gaming chips and currency in strict compliance with Title 31 regulations and internal controls. Provide professional guest service, assist with credit applications, and issue safety deposit boxes while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all gaming rules and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience handling large amounts of cash in a regulated or high‐volume environment
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Nevada Gaming License
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests, coworkers, and management
- Strong basic math skills with the ability to accurately count, verify, and reconcile large sums of cash
- Demonstrated ability to make correct change using coin and currency with speed and accuracy
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactions
- Ability to understand, follow, and comply with all company, departmental, state, and federal gaming rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, including Title 31 requirements
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive financial and patron information
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work cooperatively with other departments while delivering excellent guest service
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and accurate in a fast‐paced, high‐volume environment
- Basic computer proficiency and experience using cage‐related equipment, including computers, jet sorters, currency scanners, calculators, telephones, and standard office equipment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by casino operations
