Job Summary
Cage Cashier handles monetary transactions in a high-volume casino environment, performing even exchanges of cash and receipts, balancing funds at end of shift, and safeguarding company assets. The role requires accurate data entry in the casino management system and Title 31 software, verification of customer state and federal IDs, and adherence to regulations including Illinois Riverboat Act, Illinois Minimum Internal Control Standards, and Title 31/BSA/AML. The position demands strong customer service, ability to maintain composure in challenging situations, and flexibility to work varying shifts in person at Des Plaines, IL. The role emphasizes compliance, asset protection, and accurate documentation as part of day-to-day duties. The job may include other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- high school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years high-volume cash handling experience in a customer service environment preferred
- Ability to operate a computer and 10-key accurately & efficiently
- Comfortable with repetitive transactions
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days including weekends and holidays
- Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, twisting, reaching, bending and lifting
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs independently and repetitively
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state and employment related licensing
- Background must be clear of felonies and crimes of moral turpitude
