CAGE CASHIER

Job Summary
Conduct high-volume cash transactions including chip/token/coin cash-outs, check cashing, and credit card cash advances for patrons and internal departments. Balance the cage vault at shift start and end, set up equipment prior to opening, and redeem coins while completing Jackpot and Fill transactions. Manage customer even money exchanges, conduct table fills and credit transactions, and deposit accumulated tips into the vault. Ensure compliance with federal currency reporting requirements and maintain the integrity of the slip-dispensing machine. Maintain current knowledge of Tribal, State, and Gaming policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of high-volume cash handling experience
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Must have advanced Computer capabilities
- Must be 10-key capable
- Knowledge of gaming software systems
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission key gaming license
- A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems
- Must be a detail oriented, organized individual with the ability to multi-task
- Proven ability to provide outstanding customer service
- Proven ability to handle conflict situations
- Must have excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong mathematical skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Must have strong analytical skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to deal with stressful situations in a professional manner
- Must be a Team Player
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Preference is given to qualified Santa Ana Tribal Members
- Some college courses in Banking and Finance or related area
- preferably in a casino cage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of gaming software systems with use of IGT software preferred
