Job Summary
Prepare and serve nutritious meals to students; maintain food safety and sanitation in the kitchen and cafeteria; manage inventory and assist/mentor student workers; report equipment malfunctions and keep areas sanitary and safe; participate in required departmental trainings to support the school's nutrition program. Skills include food handling, portion control, temperature control, customer service, sanitation, equipment upkeep, and following safety procedures. Temp-to-perm opportunity in a school nutrition setting with a focus on safe, efficient operation and student engagement.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices related to food preparation, presentation, and distribution
- Understanding of personal sanitation and hygiene regulations
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service and engage in effective public relations
- Proficiency in following verbal and written instructions, procedures, and safety standards
- Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening
