Job Summary
Prepare quality food according to tested recipes and serve meals while maintaining portion control and proper use of leftovers. Store and handle food items safely, keeping storage areas clean and organized. Operate standard kitchen equipment including slicers, mixers, fryers, and ovens while following prescribed safety standards. Handle cashier functions accurately, record food requisitions, and maintain daily preparation records. Correct unsafe conditions promptly and report non-correctable issues to the supervisor. Work 7 hours in a 4-day week inside a commercial kitchen, enduring prolonged standing, moderate lifting up to 44 pounds, and exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and biological hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand written and verbal food preparation and safety instructions
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
- Ability to operate large and small kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to perform basic math
- Must be able to lift 15–44 pounds
- Must be able to work inside in commercial kitchen environment
