Job Summary
Oversee students from entry to exit in the elementary school lunchroom, assisting them with condiments, napkins, and seating arrangements while maintaining orderly conduct and table etiquette. Manage parent and visitor interactions, supervise student behavior and discipline, and arrange tables for the lunch line. Clean up the lunchroom after dismissal and daily activities, and identify appropriate fire exits for emergencies. Perform related duties as required by the principal or assistant principal.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school
- Knowledge of student behavior as applied to children
- Knowledge of the language, culture, and other characteristics of the families whose children are enrolled in Loudoun County Public Schools
- Ability to work effectively with children
- Ability to supervise student behavior
- Ability to maintain discipline
- Ability to perform general lunch room duties
- Good human relations skills
- Good communications skills
- Normal cognitive abilities
- Ability to learn
- Ability to recall
- Ability to apply certain practices and policies
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to exert negligible amount of force frequently or constantly
