Job Summary
Create a diverse and nutritious menu complying with district guidelines and dietary requirements. Collaborate with the Food Service Director to oversee food procurement, inventory management, and staff training. Supervise kitchen operations to ensure meals are prepared and served according to food safety standards. Implement educational programs promoting healthy eating habits while maintaining a clean, safe environment that meets health department regulations. Foster a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and parents. Maintain accurate records of inventory and meal counts. Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations. Work biweekly for 65 hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively and manage a team in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to become certified as ServSafe Food Manager
Desired Qualifications
- Previous managerial experience in a cafeteria, restaurant, or food service setting preferred
- Knowledge of nutrition, meal planning, and food safety regulations
- Strong leadership and communication skills
