Job Summary
Cafeteria Manager for Elementary & Middle School overseeing the preparation of high-quality menu items in a clean, safe environment and in accordance with Child Nutrition Programs. Responsible for supervising food-service staff, managing inventories, and ensuring production records and timely orders. Requires ability to read/write English and Spanish, knowledge of menu planning and quantity food preparation, and operation of commercial equipment. Must hold ServSafe/State Certification (and Level III TASN Basic Management) and have three years of food service experience. Reports to the Director of Child Nutrition Services; typical duties include maintaining compliance with federal/state/local guidelines, standardizing recipes, coordinating orders, supervising staff, and ensuring safety and quality in all food-service operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- State Certified Food Management or National Restaurant Association ServSafe Certification required
- Level III (Basic Management) TASN Certification or minimum of three years food service experience
