Job Summary
Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch periods in serving lines, while eating, and during dismissal. Maintain discipline according to school policy and report all injuries, accidents, illnesses, and discipline problems to appropriate staff immediately. Assist with clean up of spills, cleaning and sanitizing lunch tables after each use, and helping students open milk cartons and condiments. Encourage students to try new foods, provide nutrition education, and assist with proper disposal of food and beverages. Refill condiments, silverware, and water coolers as needed while modeling non-discriminatory practices. Cooperate with other employees, school staff, and students, and attend educational programs as requested by the Director of School Nutrition and Building Principal. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
