Job Summary
Cafeteria Food Tech responsibilities include preparing food using standardized recipes and accurate measurements, adhering to time schedules, maintaining sanitation and safe temperatures, serving correct portions, reporting food usage and leftovers, inventory receiving and storage, assisting with coworker scheduling, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions, interacting professionally with students, faculty, and staff, and driving the company vehicle if needed. Requires English literacy, basic math, knowledge of kitchen operations, safety and hygiene practices, ability to follow written instructions and schedules, and familiarity with federal, state, and local child nutrition policies. Louisiana-specific training requirements must be completed annually, with Phase I training within the first year. Education: high school diploma or GED; Certificates none required.

- Phase I training within first year of hire
- Previous school cafeteria experience (preferred)
