Job Summary
Prepare food using standardized recipes and accurate measurements, monitor quality and safety, and maintain sanitation in the school cafeteria. Duties include serving proper portions, documenting quantities used and remaining, receiving and storing deliveries, maintaining equipment temperatures, assisting coworkers, and driving the company vehicle if needed. Requires English and basic math skills, knowledge of kitchen operations and safety, ability to follow schedules and instructions, and adherence to federal, state, and local child nutrition policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Louisiana Department of Education Professional Standards Training requirements each year
- Phase I training within first year of hire
