Job Summary
Cafeteria Food Tech in Baton Rouge is responsible for preparing food according to standardized recipes and schedules, maintaining safe and sanitary kitchen practices, portion control, and proper food holding temperatures. The role includes receiving and storing deliveries, assisting with inventory, reporting food usage, maintaining documentation of temperatures and equipment, and supporting a harmonious team environment. May drive the company vehicle if needed. Requires a high school diploma or GED, annual Department of Education training, and Phase I training within the first year. Prior school cafeteria experience is preferred; strong English and math skills, knowledge of safety and sanitation practices, and familiarity with food handling and nutrition policies are expected.
