Job Summary
Cafeteria Aide at Alliance High School. Responsibilities include determining daily lunches and breakfasts to order or pack per menu, receiving and inspecting food shipments, maintaining proper food safety and sanitation, and packaging satellite foods according to standardized recipes. Operates cash register and handles deposits, generates reports, restocks service areas, maintains production and temperature records per USDA/State guidelines, and assists with inventory and labeling. Maintains safe, orderly kitchen operations, adheres to HACCP/OSHA training, and supports positive work environment for students and staff. Requires ability to read and follow instructions, communicate clearly, estimate food quantities, and work efficiently during meal periods. Strong knowledge of food safety practices, allergen handling, and USDA/State administrative guidelines is expected.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent
- Certificate of good health signed by a licensed physician
- Experience cooking in large quantities (preferred)
- Experience in preparing school lunches
- Knowledge of National School Lunch, National School Breakfast and Summer Food Service Programs
