Job Summary
Prepare, portion, and serve food, beverages, and desserts for meal service according to menu procedures in a timely, safe, and sanitary manner. Store food items and supplies correctly, including chemicals, and stock the café with needed items as directed. Wash, sanitize, and handle dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and cooking equipment according to established procedures. Clean the food service working area, maintain an orderly environment, remove trash, and ensure the dish room is free of standing water. Operate and sanitize any equipment utilized per posted schedules. Provide customer service and cater to business or client needs. Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of relevant experience
- High school degree or equivalent
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms
- Capable of standing for long periods
