Job Summary
Run the floor as the Person in Charge (PIC), adjusting work assignments, managing breaks, and solving problems while making and serving all café products to GCB specifications. Deliver outstanding customer service by following the 3 Steps to Great Service, sharing product sourcing knowledge, and going the extra mile to anticipate needs. Work efficiently at all stations including retail, sandwich bar, pastry baking, and mid-shifts, utilizing POS, R365, and KDS systems to place orders and handle cash accurately. Lead training for new hires, coach teammates on safe procedures, and maintain cleanliness through bussing and dishwashing. Stay calm during busy rushes, report hazards and injuries via FMX, and promote an inclusive, anti-racist environment. Works 4-5 shifts weekly, six days including weekends, reporting to the Café Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Maintains a valid Food Handler's Card at all times
- Must demonstrate regular attendance by coming to work on scheduled working days and being on time
- Ability to add, subtract, and perform basic math with ease
- Basic computer skills including use of MS Outlook or similar email program
- Ability to interact with customers for a full shift in a busy, loud environment with frequent change while maintaining outstanding customer service
- 1+ years of front of house food service experience including making and serving products
- Must be available to work a variety of shifts at least six (6) days per week including Saturday and Sunday
- Must be able to work any shift or station for which they are trained
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
