Job Summary
Lead day-to-day cafe operations by training and supervising baristas, cashiers, volunteers, and interns to ensure high-quality food and beverage service standards for students, staff, faculty, and guests. Manage staff on menu knowledge, order processing, payment handling, and maintaining a clean, sanitary work environment while overseeing inventory restocking and event catering support. Prepare food for sale, assist the kitchen during high-volume meal plan activities, and lead the team in adhering to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a calm demeanor during peak periods and ensure all personnel act with integrity aligned with Charis Bible College values. Required Qualifications
- Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Must sign the Statement of Faith
- A high school diploma or equivalent education
- Must pass all required checks
- Availability for extended hours and weekend shifts during conferences and events
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods
- Knowledge of food and beverage industry standards, food safety, and hygiene
Desired Qualifications
- An associate degree
- A Charis Bible College student or graduate
- 1-2 years of managerial/supervisory experience in the Café or food service industry
- Prior experience in a Coffee Shop or Café environment
- A minimum of 1 year in a management or supervisory role
