Job Summary
Take food and drink orders using the POS system, make coffee and drinks, and serve grab-and-go café menu items to guests. Act as a retail cashier for the museum gift shop, monitor and restock items, and keep the café and retail area clean. Serve guests in the outdoor café seating area as needed and participate in weekly inventory processes. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Obtain Texas Food Handlers license and TABC Certification within 14 days. Assist visitors at the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, which preserves the stories of Medal of Honor recipients through a state-of-the-art museum and the Griffin Institute.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
- Must be able to obtain Texas Food Handlers license within 14 days of start date
- Must be able to obtain TABC Certification
- Ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 25lbs regularly
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in hospitality a plus
- Prior experience as a barista a plus
- Customer Service - Expert
- Preferred - Food Handler's - SERV Safe-food handling
