Job Summary
Train and coach interns in time management, customer service, and barista skills through direct, in-the-moment guidance that adapts to individual learning styles. Model professional standards while fostering independence by solving problems collaboratively rather than taking over tasks. Prepare and serve café menu items adhering to food-safety standards, manage POS transactions, and support daily opening and closing routines. Track progress notes and offer specific feedback to celebrate intern achievements. Lead by example during busy rushes, maintaining quality and a warm, inclusive workplace culture.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or other food-service setting
- A teacher at heart
- Someone patient and positive
