Job Summary
General food service role in Abbott Café spanning multiple stations; duties include preparing food for all stations, sanitation and food safety, assisting management with food production, catering and other designated projects/events, running POS transactions for dinner and late-night services, maintaining stock of front-of-house items, stocking Deli and Salad Bar stations, and training to cover multiple stations while delivering outstanding customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills and verbal communication
- Ability to prepare quality food in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow directions and recipes
- 2-3 years of prior kitchen experience (high volume helpful)
- Ability to operate POS and count cash transactions
- Preference for two-year degree or some college credits
- ServSafe Food Protection or similar food safety training
