Job Summary
Process high-volume sales transactions in the MICROS system, ensuring accurate order processing, correct change dispensing, and receipt issuance. Greet all patrons, staff, and guests promptly while answering inquiries about the Café, Lodge, and Ski Resort. Prepare and serve specialty coffee drinks, stock supplies, and maintain cleanliness in compliance with food handling and sanitation procedures. Reconcile cash registers at shift end, resolve payment discrepancies, and participate in weekly deep cleaning tasks. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to all safety, security, and alcohol service regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Employee has legal authorization to work in the United States
- High school Diploma or GED
- Previous experience working with a POS and cash handling
- Must be 21 years old to serve alcohol
- Positive, outgoing personality
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to use basic math and accurately reconcile a cash register
- Able to problem solve in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to present a professional appearance: well groomed & trimmed hair, clean uniform, no facial piercings
- Able to speak, read, write and communicate clearly in English
- Will be required to work extended hours during peak times, weekends and holidays as necessary
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule
- Position may work out of various Lodge outlets (e.g. bussing in the dining room) and rotate through different shifts
Desired Qualifications
- Previous food and beverage experience
- Certification in Utah S.M.A.R.T. Program and Food Handlers Permit
- Knowledge of the Town of Alta and Alta Ski Resort
