Cafe Barista

Barista duties in a full-time role at Daystar’s Scratch Café: prepare and serve specialty coffee and beverages (including smoothies), assist with select food items, maintain cleanliness and stock in the café, handle payments accurately, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations. Responsibilities include greeting guests, answering questions, processing payments, brewing and preparing drinks, maintaining a stocked and sanitary coffee area, organizing food on trays, monitoring food storage temperatures, cleaning dining and serving areas, and performing other duties as assigned. Required skills include listening, following safety rules, taking initiative during slower periods, and adherence to food safety coursework. Education/certification prerequisites include completion of food safety coursework and the FDC-Food Handlers Certificate. Physical requirements include standing for prolonged periods and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds; must be available for extra hours and Daystar events. Location is Bedford, TX. The role requires a Christian commitment to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
