Job Summary
CADD Technician for NYC Department of Design and Construction. Responsible for producing Land Survey Map deliverables (Topographical/Property Line, Damage/Acquisition, Highway/Sewer Plan and Profile maps) using AutoCAD and Carlson or Civil 3D. Will review maps for accuracy and conformity to standards, prepare project progress reports, attend meetings, and assist in preparing presentations. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. full-time; no visa sponsorship. Requires US-credentialed education and, for higher assignment levels, additional experience and New York State Land Surveyor registration as applicable. Location: 30-30 Thomson Avenue, LIC, NY. Tools include AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil 3D; focus on surveying-related deliverables for DDC capital construction projects; ensures quality and adherence to standards. Skills emphasized include land surveying, map production, quality control, report writing, and collaboration in project teams.
Required Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in surveying, surveying engineering, surveying engineering technology or in similar surveying-related majors; and two years of full-time satisfactory land surveying experience; or
- An associate degree from an accredited college or university in the surveying-related majors; and four years of full-time satisfactory experience; or
- A four year high school diploma or equivalent and six years of full-time satisfactory experience; and
- A New York State driver license; and
- Assignment-Level II or III requires additional experience and license (for Level III, registration as a New York State Land Surveyor)
