Job Summary
CADC Intern- CBCS provides counseling and case management to patients with drugs, alcohol, and behavioral addictions. Primary tasks include designing and managing personalized recovery plans, conducting intakes and assessments, leading one-on-one and group therapy, coordinating with a treatment team and community partners, ensuring timely documentation, and facilitating referral processes for inpatient residential treatment as needed. The role requires CADC certification (MHACBO) and a valid Oregon driver's license, with Bachelor’s degree preferred; compensation ranges from $18.90 to $23.65 per hour, and the position is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon. The intern will engage in crisis management, develop treatment goals, and participate in clinical supervision weekly. Competencies include client engagement, assessment, service coordination, documentation, ethics, cultural competence, communication, and legal standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- CADC certification required
- MHACBO CADC I eligibility
- Valid Oregon driver’s license
- Insurable driving record
- All certifications maintained during employment
- Two-year CADC intern status validity
- Experience with co-occurring (dual-diagnosis) clients
