Job Summary
CAD Technician at LJA Surveying (WLB Group) drafts support for assigned surveying projects, processes conventional field notes and digitally collected data, creates survey plats, sketches, exhibits, and control sheets, computes data points for construction layout, and writes metes & bounds descriptions. Requires 2-5 years of survey experience, CADD skills, Civil 3D, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; Florida standards knowledge encouraged; role involves collaboration with field crews and office/behind-the-scenes work.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience
- 2-5 years of survey experience
- CADD experience is required
- Civil 3D
- Trimble Business Center experience preferred
- Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Attention to detail, organized
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Ability to work well in a team-focused environment
- Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or daily as changes occur in project need
