Job Summary
Utilize custom programs to independently create detailed drawings and bills of material for product manufacture and installation. Review design information, site plans, and manuals to determine critical dimensions, then perform necessary calculations for fabrication drawings. Apply daily proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, Fusion 360, and Inventor to complete drawings within project deadlines. Collaborate with design staff to determine requirements, resolve issues, and submit drawings for peer review before final approval. Occasionally visit manufacturing facilities or product installation sites to support operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Drafting, Engineering, or AutoCAD
- Ability to read and interpret documents, technical manuals, and engineering concepts
- Strong technical skills, including an academic background in AutoCAD and proficiency in current versions of AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Excellent mathematical skills and demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events
- Strong ability to read and interpret documents, technical manuals, site plans, and engineering concepts
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
