Job Summary
Create, modify, and maintain 2D engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software to support production operations and manufacturing processes. Interpret engineering concepts, sketches, and specifications while managing drawing revisions and document control procedures. Resolve manufacturing and quality issues by assisting in developing work instructions and participating in root cause analysis activities. Work in a combination of office and manufacturing floor environment with standard Monday through Friday hours and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certificate in CAD Technology, Drafting, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and SolidWorks platforms
- Strong understanding of manufacturing practices
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Combination of office and manufacturing floor environment
- Frequent computer-based design and programming work
- Periodic exposure to machining and manufacturing operations
- Occasional lifting and shop-floor support activities as required
- Frequent movement around the shop floor
- Direct interaction with employees
- Hands-on approach to supervision
- Exposure to noise, tools, and moving vehicles
- Occasional lifting of heavy equipment
- Standard hours are Monday through Friday
- Overtime as needed to meet production demands
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in CAD drafting and CNC programming
- Experience with ERP, PDM, or PLM systems
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
