CAD Technician

Investigate customer specifications, standard operating procedures, and documentation relating to control panels and electrical design. Read and understand P&ID drawings to design control cabinet layouts including PLC hardware, power supplies, and terminal strips. Create and edit panel layouts, sub-panel layouts, bills of materials, and electrical schematics for control enclosures. Perform self-checks and peer reviews for accuracy, while providing technical support for panel fabrication technicians. Inspect completed control enclosures against documented test procedures and create or edit those procedures. Participate in design review meetings and field verification activities at customer sites to troubleshoot installation discrepancies.
