CAD Technician I

Job Summary
Create and revise 3D models and 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks, Rhino, and NX to design production-ready blueprints for fiberglass mold steel framing and lamination kits. Maintain CAD files and engineering documentation while assisting with Bills of Materials and manufacturing layouts. Support Design for Manufacturing initiatives, develop standardized work instructions, and perform hands-on CNC programming and operation. Participate in Lean Manufacturing projects to identify efficiency and quality improvements. Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Scheduling to communicate engineering changes and provide technical support. Requires an Associate degree or technical certificate in CAD or Engineering Technology, basic understanding of engineering drawings, and experience with SolidWorks, Rhino, or NX. Entry-level position eligible for U.S. work authorization only.
Required Qualifications
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and must not require current or future sponsorship for employment authorization
- Associate degree or Technical Certificate in CAD, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings
- Experience with Solidworks, Rhino, NX, or similar
- Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Ability to walk manufacturing facilities and wear required PPE
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with VCarve, and ControlX
- Internship or experience in manufacturing
- Knowledge of composite manufacturing or CNC machining
