CAD Technician/Fabric Marker Layer

Job Summary
CAD Technician/Fabric Marker Layer operates the CAD system that automatically cuts upholstery fabric. Responsibilities include entering patterns into CAD, producing and adjusting markers and layouts, printing and filing markers, recording markers and yardage in the system, pulling markers for schedules, assisting with marker layouts with cutters and CAD Cutter Set-up Operators, communicating issues to Lead/Supervisor, contributing to fabric yield projects, demonstrating the CAD System to tour groups, and performing additional duties as assigned. Must work day shift (7am–4:30pm Mon–Thu, 7–11am Fri), in-person in Hickory, NC. Requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of CAD experience; proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD systems for pattern designs; ability to read safety rules and operating instructions; ability to handle physical tasks and work in a noisy environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of experience with CAD program
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and CAD systems related to pattern designs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, etc.
