CAD Technician/Fabric Marker Layer

Job Summary
CAD Technician/Fabric Marker Layer operates the CAD system that automatically cuts upholstery fabric. Enter patterns and fabrics into the CAD system, produce markers, print markers in miniature, laminate, and file in proper place. Record markers and yardages in the main frame computer system; pull markers for the schedule; collaborate with cutters and the CAD Cutter Set-up Operator to address layout problems. Communicate issues with patterns, software, hardware, or the system to Lead Person/Supervisor; participate in special projects related to fabric yield; assist with demonstrating the CAD System to tour groups; perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor. Work safely and follow all procedures; day shift 7am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday, 7-11am Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 1 year of experience with CAD program
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and computer aided design systems related to pattern designs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions
