CAD Technician

Job Summary
CAD Technician responsible for creating, revising, and updating 2-D and 3-D drawings for assembly, metal, and plastic shops; reviewing blueprints and customer documentation; collaborating with customers and internal teams to ensure accurate information is conveyed in models and drawings; performing self-checks for accuracy and standards compliance; continuously learning modeling software features; maintaining notes and design calculations, including bill of materials; contributing to a collaborative team to balance workloads and deliver quality results on time; handling electronic data, creating CAD models, applying revision changes, and assisting with manufacturing-related issues; operating 3D printer and tools as needed; overtime may be required for alternate shifts and weekends; Amphenol requires candidates to be U.S. persons under ITAR and cannot sponsor work visas.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or completion of a technical trade school in CAD, drafting or related field
- At least five years of related work experience; or any equivalent combination of experience and training
- One year SolidWorks experience in assemblies, electronic components, drawings
- Must be able to legally work in the United States; sponsorship not provided
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication
