Job Summary
CAD Technician within the BIM team focused on extracting and preparing 2D drawings from 3D models, annotating models with data, and performing quality checks. Responsibilities include coordinating with CAD, design, pre-construction, offsite manufacturing and onsite installation teams to ensure 3D modelling and 2D drawings meet project requirements, and developing skills in Revit 3D modelling.
Required Qualifications
- Drawing Development: Extract and prepare 2D drawings from 3D models for construction documentation, including plans, sections, elevations, and details.
- Annotation Management: Populate 3D models with essential annotation data and specifications, ensuring tagging and categorisation.
- Quality Control: Check models & drawings for accuracy and adherence to company standards.
- Collaboration: Work with CAD, design, pre-construction, offsite manufacturing, onsite Installation teams to align 3D modelling and 2D drawings with project requirements.
- Development: Shadow experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and utilise Revit 3D modelling software.
