Job Summary
CAD Specialist with expertise in land surveying data workflows. Work includes processing and cleaning point cloud data from terrestrial laser scanners and mobile mapping systems, producing 2D/3D CAD drawings for land/topographic/boundary/measured building and utility surveys, creating utility record drawings from provider data, building DTMs/surface models, and preparing plans, sections, elevations, and 3D models to standards. Liaise with field surveyors to resolve queries and ensure data integrity; may support Revit/BIM deliverables when required. Desirable familiarity with Revit for scan-to-BIM, point-cloud processing software, utility detection/mapping workflows, and awareness of BIM standards (PAS 1192 / ISO 19650). Required Qualifications
- Experience working as a CAD Technician in a land surveying or equivalent technical environment
- Proven experience working with point clouds (registration, cleaning, modelling)
- Knowledge of building surveys and/or utility surveys
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D experience beneficial)
- High attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet agreed deadlines
