Job Summary

The CAD Project Specialist supports the coordination and maintenance of CAD activities for Facilities Management Services, ensuring accurate documentation of USC's building portfolio. Responsibilities include field verification, updating digital floorplans, leading student assistants in surveys, and managing CAD files with integration into BIM and GIS platforms. The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, knowledge of Revit and ArcGIS, and the ability to adhere to drafting standards and data management procedures. Effective communication and organizational skills are essential for collaboration with various stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Drafting & Design Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in CAD drafting and drawing management
  • Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Working knowledge of Revit (BIM)
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS
  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, file organization, and version control
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and site drawings
  • Valid CA driver's license with a minimum of 2 years’ driving experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Proven experience with spatial data integration and management using ArcGIS
  • Experience with facilities-related systems such as Archibus and Meridian

Additional Requirements

  • Valid CA driver's license required
  • Participation in the DMV Pull Notice System
